FUN OPPORTUNITY FOR MEAD RESIDENTS

The Nebraska National Guard is hosting a Community Event on Saturday, February 7th.  We will be conducting airborne parachute operations on this day and would like to invite members of the Mead community to come out and enjoy watching paratroopers at work.  The drop zone and parking will take place at County Roads 7 and G (along Highway 66), west of Wann and north of Memphis.

The parachute jump will be executed at 10:00 a.m.  We will provide hot chocolate and snacks on the drop zone for our guests.  Following the jump, we would like members of the community to come over to the unit and enjoy activities such as:  putting on parachute harnesses, getting hands on with military vehicles, and watching a real parachute being packed.  We will provide additional snacks and fun activities for kids.

This should be a great event for families and the local community to enjoy.
